Shapes and More Shapes--Remarkable!

So shapes are the theme this month.  Therefore my cards are brought to you by squares and rectangles! See the scored lines on the cake card?  Pretty nifty!!

Our move is getting closer!  I will soon be packing my crafty stuff up for a bit.  So glad I had time to make these cards!  Happy Crafting!

Just a note, the new blendabilities markers are pretty awesome!!  Can't wait till their available for everyone to order.
So now back to life!!  My son is graduating from high school this Saturday and I begin packing in earnest on Sunday for our big move to Maryland next weekend!!  Whew!

Creativity in the Midst of Turmoil

Studio before and afters!!  I am a super messy crafter!

I think I may have mentioned that we are moving to be closer to my husband's job.. if not, we are.  So things have been a bit busy and crafting (and blogging) had been on the back burner.  Things we're finally settling down a bit and my class participants we're hoping and asking for one more class before things are all packed up and we move.  So amazing as I am, I gave them TWO classes.  And it was super awesome and I am going to miss them all so much!!  I am finally starting to grow this business just a bit and now I'm moving!

Anyway, keeping things short and sweet (as I've gotta help my daughter get things packed to move her back to college for a summer research position (they're going to pay her!!)) I'll let the pictures and captions do the talking!!

Using the super awesome new in colors, this is card one, which I also used as my swap at a team meeting.  I really like it, but it was not a fave at the class.

This one was the most liked I think.  Everyone loved the Flowering Flourishes stamp set, and the bright colors.

I just want to note for the record, that this blogger thing is not working correctly!!  Super frustrating so I am just going to post the pictures!!!  My computer may actually be possesed by demons!
Hope you enjoy the card ideas and sorry about the brevity of the post, but technology is not my friend at this time!  Happy crafting!

Capture the Moment, Remarkables Blog Tour

Small book scrap booking is my new favorite way to keep track of my photos.  I've been through all the paths of photo keeping and I am enjoying trying to keep it simple.  My husband and I went to London this summer to celebrate our 20th anniversary.  We had a wonderful trip and I wanted to share it with family and friends. Once I had the photos and information organized, I made this scrap book in one day!!

I used some of the wonderful Stampin' Up! designer series paper, but I am super excited that Stampin' Up! has partnered with Project Life (the journaling cards I used in this book are Project Life cards).  This will make things even quicker!  And the key of course is pocket pages!  Which Stampin' Up! will also be selling in this years catalog!

Lots of excitement on my craft table!  Anyhow, here are some of the highlights of my London scrap book.  Enjoy!

Thank You for stopping by...

I've been off the radar lately.  We are planning a move to Maryland over the summer to be nearer to my husband's job.  So I've been super busy getting our house ready to put on the market.  And now the big day is here! We'll have fancy brochures next week, but with an optimistic mind to lots of "traffic" through the house this weekend, I thought I'd make some pretty little cards to leave out for people to take to remind them of our house.

I used the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge as inspiration.

Here are the cards, I did a bunch of sponging of the edges with crumb cake!

I added the words at the bottom and on the back I wrote our address.
Here is a close up of the flowers, to give them a little depth, I used the back side of my paper piercer to put a little indent in them.

And finally, just to share here is a picture of our house taken in the Fall.  I love the house and am hoping the perfect family will come along and buy it.  Wish me luck!!

Bloomin' Wonderful, Flowers, Flowers, Flowers!

Remarkables blog tour time again!  I have one card to share with you today. Have you ever had a time where things are super busy, and your craft area is a long forgotten memory?  That's how things have been for me lately.  So just this morning I took a few minutes and made this pretty card.

It all started with the denim blue ribbon, then I was like "I'm feeling so saffron." And as the blog is about flowers, I stamped the whisper white with the trailing flowers from the thoughts and prayers stamp set. Punch out a few flowers with the itty bitty punch and tada!
Well, enjoy the rest of the hop, I'm sure that you'll get some great ideas!!

Watercolor Wonder with Best of Greetings

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge... I decided to play with my designer series papers for this challenge.  I hadn't really used the Watercolor Wonder paper so I thought I'd give it a whirl.  And I am very pleased.  Here's my card:

The cool thing is this card could go so many different ways by changing the greetings!
Here is the inspiration sketch:

Petite Petals and Sweet Sorbet!

I super love the petite petals stamp set and punch.  If you're a flower person, it would be almost impossible not to love it.  And I'd say I'm almost a flower person...  Anyhow, here it is for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #127.

I used pool party and island indigo ink to go with the sweet sorbet DSP.  Plus a little bit of pistachio pudding with the petal parade "leafy thing" stamp lightly stamped as the base layer on the banner.  So pretty and so easy!  I sometimes like to keep things simple.

Here's the sketch I was working from:
