A Summer Sampler, Fun with Framed Art

Hi Crafty Friends!
It's Summer on the East Coast, and for our Sampler Class this month I wanted to celebrate all that's fun and wonderful about Summer.
It took me a little bit to get things just as I liked, but I am very happy with the final project.

Here are the measurements:

Large rectangle: Whisper White, 2" x 7 1/8", Blushing Bride, 2 1/4" x 7 3/8", Whisper White, 2 3/8" x 7 1/2"
Small rectangle: Whisper White, 2" x 41/2", Tropical Escape DSP, 2 1/4" x 4 3/4", Blushing Bride, 2 3/8" x 4 7/8"
Squares: Whisper White and Tropical Escape DSP, 2" x 2", Whisper White and Tropical Escape DSP, 2 1/4" x 2 1/4", Blushing Bride, 2 3/8" x 2 3/8"

The background: Granny Apple Green, 8 1/4" x 8 1/4", Daffodil Delight, 8 1/2" x 8 1/2", Whisper White, 9" x 9"

Let's take a closer look at each of the elements:

Of course, the Large Letters Framelits are the star of the show. I used Daffodil Delight card stock for the letters and I popped them up with our foam strips. I stamped the background piece with the Tropical Chic stamp set. I used Granny Apple Green (full strength and stamped off) and Shaded Spruce. The flowers are stamped in Blushing Bride.

I tried to celebrate summer while not being beachy as we did a beachy sampler earlier in the summer. But I couldn't resist making a little beach scene with the Waterfront stamp set. And I inked up my lightening bug (or firefly) stamp from the Jar of Love set for the first time. Anyone else remember catching them and putting them in a jar as a kid?

I was really excited about using this cute new Treehouse Adventure stamp set. It has lots of pieces, but they went together pretty easily. Two of the leaf "bunches" can be die cut with the Up and Away thinlits. Cool deal!

The section I had the most fun with was the lemonade and fruit section.

Isn't this the cutest? I used the Coffee Cafe set with it's coordinating framelits. I colored the lemonade with our Stampin' Blends (Daffodil Delight). Then had fun making lemons and limes.

My suggestion for making samplers, if you're using shadow box frames like me, (this one is 9" x 9" from Michael's) is to Dimensional away! Have fun with different heights.

Here's a few more pics to enjoy.

I really enjoy planning and making these samplers. Sometimes they come together real quick and sometimes I need to play with them a bit. For example, I started with the letters in Blushing Bride.

So have fun exploring and playing with your card stock and stamps. Need help picking out supplies or ordering? Let me know, I am happy to help. And remember for the month of July, lots of our lovely Designer Series papers are on sale, buy 3 get 1 free.

My Why and Info About Joining Stampin' Up

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing information about joining Stampin' Up. I love being a Stampin' Up demonstrator. I love my everyday discount, I love crafting with some of the best paper crafting supplies, I love sharing crafting in classes and online, and I'm loving the friends I'm making on this journey.

I'm inspired to share my why as SU has a great joining deal going on for the month of July. Join my team in July and you will get a color family of ink pads for free. That's such a cool deal on top of the already awesome joining offer of $125 of product for $99 with free shipping.

I made a video to explain my why, what you get, and the commitment. And I've made a note to myself to wear a little makeup next time I do a video like this and to not squint into the sun.

I'd love to have you join my Crafty Corner Design Team. I am happy to answer any questions you have. Ready to join and need a little help with the whole online thing? Here's a video to walk you through the steps.

As always, I'm here to help you with your crafty needs. Contact me anytime, audramonk@yahoo.com.

ICS Blog Hop, Twinkle Twinkle DSP

Hi Crafty Friends!
Welcome to this month's Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop.
This month it's all about the Designer Series Paper! In fact, it's a Paper Palooza!

If you know a little about my crafty style, you might know that I love DSP. And I only use Stampin' UP DSP, because it's the best. The colors, the designs, the feel of it. And for all of July, you can buy 3 get 1 free (selected papers only)!
Today I'm sharing projects featuring the Twinkle Twinkle DSP.

In the catalog, this paper is showcased with a baby stamp set, but it can do so much more.

Like this! We made this card last month at my Just Cards class. It's bold and bright, and it's all the more interesting because of the stripy DSP on the right side.

I've got two classes coming up mid July and we'll definitely be making these next two projects.

This one is quick, fresh, and fun. And the wide stripes are simply divine.
This next card IS for the babies (their parents of course).

I used two different DSPs for this card. It all comes together so soft and sweet. I think any new parent would love to get this card.

I hope you feel inspired to get out your DSP and use it in your projects. Click HERE or the arrow below to see what Karie has to share.

Thanks so much for stoping by. Check out my store for the great DSP sale.

July's Card Buffet

Hi Crafty Friends!
I'm getting excited about our upcoming Card Buffet. What is a card buffet, you might be wondering? Let me explain...
A card buffet is pretty much like it sounds, it's an offering of cards and you pick which ones and how many you want to make. I usually offer 10 design choices. You can make one of each, several of each, several of few, it's pretty much up to you. Cards are $3 each and envelopes are included.
Here are the choices for our class on July 15th.

I try to offer a variety of styles and colors. In some cases, the sentiments can be changed to meet your needs. If there are some that you are wanting to make multiples of, let me know so I can prepare extras. In general, it is first come first served.
The buffet is open 1:30-5, please arrive by 4 at the latest.

I'm offering several ordering incentives at this month's buffet.
Place a $50 order at class and get 4 cards for free.
Place a $75 order at class and get 6 cards for free.
Place a $100 order and get 8 cards for free.
OR, make and pay for 8 or more cards and get 1 for free.

The card kits are also available to go (all pieces included, but no stamped images per SU policy) for the same prices and specials, shipping extra. This offer is available prepaid only, with orders and payment due by July 12th.

Let's take a closer look at most of the cards (I forgot to take a photo of 2 of them before I went out of town, so you'll need to zoom in to see the Butterfly card and the Yellow Confetti card).
