One Big Stamp, Many Ideas

I have a fun quick post for you today. I'm on vacation with my husband's family and as I'm not as prepared as I would have liked to be, I thought I'd give it a go doing a blogpost on the spot on vacation, using the app on my phone.

Right before I left on vacation, I spent the day at my up, up, upline's house playing with lots of the new items from the Stampin' Up! Catalog. Right before I left to head home and get going on my laundry and packing, I got out the big background dalia stamp. I stamped it in different ways and different colors on pieces of very vanilla card stock. When I got home, in between the laundry and packing, I whipped up this fun set of dalia cards! It went so quick and easy and was so fun!

So cute, right! Here they are all one by one. This stamp went on my order list!  Please let me know which one you like best. If you need names of the stamp sets, colors, or papers, let me know that too and I can get you the info when I'm back home.

Thanks so much for visiting!  May your days be filled with family, friends, vacations, and every day events!

Here we are all dressed up for dinner on vacation!

Cool Color and a Card Change Up

I have two cards to share today, similar, yet different.  Both feature the new Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up!  The Stampin' Up! catalog shows how you can brayer ink on the paper to make it any color you like.  Then I saw a post from Patty Bennett using that technique on a paper pumpkin set.  So I thought I'd give it a go.

I love it!  Especially the new Tip Top Taupe color.  I think it's divine!  This first card is super similar to Patty's card.  I just pepped it up a bit with the Tin of Cards stamp set.  Love it!  I'll be using it a lot.

Isn't it lovely?

Next we move on to my husband's Father's Day card.  It's a bit of a CASE of a Father's Day card I posted just a bit ago.

I put that Banner Triple Punch to use again!  And here is my disclaimer, I know the banners are not on straight!!  But I decided it was OK.  I am happy with how it all came together, BUT what I really like is the inside.  Check it out!

I liked all three of these sayings, so I decided to use them all.  This Guy Greetings stamp set is just so cute.

Well, I hope that I may have inspired you a bit.

Going Places, a Remarkable Blog Hop

Going Places!  Today I'm sharing some Project Life pages I made documenting a recent trip.  We love the beach no matter the season and one of our favorites is Lewes/Rehoboth, DE!

I love the Project Life by Stampin' Up! collection.  The cards make it so easy to just journal and go while adding a touch of color.  AND I love that if you want to get a bit more creative, all our wonderful Stampin' Up! stuff coordinates beautifully.  I used the Let's Get Away set for this layout.

I have one more project to share.  With my love of the beach, I ordered the new From Land to Sea stamp set.  And I just kept seeing in my head these little turtles swimming.  And I thought what a fun twist on the Get Moving theme.  So I stamped them out and colored them using a blender pen.  So very cute!!

Then I saw the Freshly Made Sketches sketch and let it inspire the rest of the card.  Here's the sketch:

And here is my card!

I used the alphabet rotary stamp for the sentiment.  Keep swimming was the first thing that popped into my head as I was finishing up with the card.  I think this would be a great card to send to someone that could use a little encouragement.  Of course, you could use any other type of sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope that you enjoy the rest of the blog tour.

New Catalog Preview (3)

Ok, this is the last post that I'll officially call out as the new catalog.  But, I did just get some new goodies from the UPS man yesterday and I was all fired up and inspired to use some of them for my New Catalog open house tomorrow.

So quick and sweet, I'll just show them to you.  If there's something you ever have a question about, just let me know and I can go into more detail on a future post.  But I'm just so excited to share that I wanted to get these posted!

This the Build a Birthday stamp set in a mashup design from many I've seen on Pinterest.  Super quick and super fun.

I jumped on the butterfly band wagon!  This is the Watercolor Wings stamp set, which has matching framelits!  Can you say "bundle-deal"?  This design is a CASE from the catalog.  I just changed up the colors.  That's something I really love about the Stampin' Up! catalogs, they are filled with great project samples.
Check it out just a teeny bit closer.  That's some new thin metallic twine. I think it's lovely.

And we'll finish up today with my very own design using Guy Greetings!  I know it's not totally new as it was in the Occasions catalog, but I just got it a few weeks ago and I was super happy to find out it was staying in the Annual catalog.  You will see some new in colors, Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron.  There's also some Lost Lagoon, one of the 2014-2016 in colors and some lovely Very Vanilla.  Did you notice the new ribbon?  Super nice.  And I cut out the banners with our new Triple Banner Punch.  Makes it so easy.  Look closely at the background, I made my own DSP!

I hope I've inspired you to get out your supplies and put them to work.  If you need supplies, let me know.  I post lots of ideas and events on my Facebook page: www.facebook.com/thecraftyyogicardsandpapercrafts
