Stampin' Up's New 2018-2020 In-Colors

Hi Crafty Friends!

Late Spring is such a fun time at Stampin' Up. We start to see lots of new product in anticipation of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. And we make sure to get the products we love that are retiring.

Every year SU introduces a new 5 set of In-Colors, which will be available for 2 years.
Let's take a look at our new friends.

Let me introduce you to: Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call me Clover, and Blueberry Bushel. Aren't they fun colors? I have hardly begun to play with them, but I certainly look forward to it.

This year SU has redesigned the ink pads. Let me show you.

The extra cool news is you can order the ink pads as a bundle starting May 1! I know, how cool is that? Also available are Early Release Bundles of the Share What You Love Suite. Check out my website HERE or contact me for all the details. Shop online and use host code 3CEA44DH.
Look for a Card to Go kit with purchase from me on a blog post on Friday, May 4!

Happy Crafting!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, Thinking of You

Hi Crafty Friends!

When I was designing the make and takes for my team meeting, I was inspired by two challenges. For this card, I used a sketch by Freshly Made Sketches.
This card features lots of new product coming very soon to your craft table.

The paper used in this project will be available for early release pre-order for customers May 1. It's called Share What You Love Speciality Designer Series Paper. And you are going to love it! The stamp set is also new and coming in our new Annual catalog, which starts in June.

I love the Freshly Made Sketches sketches. I mean, isn't this card simple but sweet?
Here's the sketch:

Showers to Flowers Paper Craft Crew Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today I have a quick share for you featuring one of my favorite papers from the 2018 Occasions catalog, the Sweet Soiree Speciality Designer Series Paper. This is one of the cards that we made at my team meeting last night. I like to use challenges to help inspire my card designs.

The challenge is to create something with the theme showers to flowers. And I decided to have my project be all about the flowers.

Isn't it lovely? The paper is so pretty. I used a few retiring stamp sets for this project, so if you like them, contact me asap to order. I used the Happiest of Days set as well as the Definitely Dahlia background stamp.

You can join this challenge or other Paper Craft Crew challenges by clicking HERE.

Butterfly Framed Art Sampler

Hi Crafty Friends!

I'm excited to share this month's Framed Art Sampler. This month it is all about Powder Pink, Calypso Coral, butterflies, and flowers. I'll share all the details AND a short video on how I do the final assembly, plus a special offer.

Isn't it lovely?
First up, measurements:

Whisper White, 9" x 9"
Powder Pink, 8 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Old Olive squares, 2 3/8" x 2 3/8"
Whisper White squares, 2 1/4"x 2 1/4"
Sweet Soiree Speciality DSP, 2" x 2"
Old Olive rectangle, 2 3/8" x 7 1/2"
Whisper White rectangle, 2 1/4" x 7 3/8"
Sweet Soiree Speciality DSP, 2" x 7 1/8"
**note the top center panel has the white and the DSP reversed**

I used the Petal Palette bundle from the Occasions catalog. This stamp set and framelits set are carrying over into our new Annual catalog. But if you want the 10% bundle discount you need to purchase the set by May 31.

Let's take a closer look.

The sentiment is from the Colorful Seasons set.

This is the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

The flowers are colored in Calypso Coral using our Blender Pens.

I used the smallest circle and square from the Stitched Shapes Framelit set.

Here's a video showing basic assembly technique.

Are you a lover of this type of project? Wether you are a frequent maker of samplers or would like to try making your first one, I have got a deal for you. If you purchase the Petal Palette bundle (or other product of equivalent value) with me using a host code (must contact me for the code) I'll send you the kit to make the sampler (includes all the paper and embellishments cut and ready to go, you just stamp and put it together) FREE--you just pay $7 for priority shipping.
This offer is available until May 25, 2018.

I use 9" x 9" shadow box frames from Michael's or Ikea.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Any questions, let me know. I am happy to help.

SU Updates! Retiring List, Color Revamp, Birthday Special

Hi Crafty Friends!

Spring! It's such a fun time of year! Especially in the Stampin' Up world.
And I have lots to share with you.

So, today SU released the retiring list, these are items that will no longer be available after May 31 or sooner depending on availability. If there's something you've had your eye on, now would be the time to order, especially if it's any of the retiring in-colors.

Like any business, we need to let go of some things so that we can offer new products and continue to innovate. Stay tuned for more info below.

You can click HERE or the graphic below to see the retiring list.

Shopping now? Please use host code N9W72SQ2. Keep on reading for more info and go all the way to the end to see my birthday month special.

Let's talk about our color revamp. We are changing up our color families. Some colors are retiring, some past colors are returning, and there are some new colors. Whew, it's a lot!

But for good reasons. SU's current ink pad molds were getting old. So, they could either make the same ones or innovate. Of course they chose to innovate, right? I mean most of us aren't driving around with a big road atlas in the car anymore.

The new ink pads have lots of pluses. They are easier to open, they're stackable, and they have a new formula to prevent foaming (which sometimes shows up as bubbles on the ink pad and on our stamps/stamped images). All great things! We can keep using our current pads. We can supplement by adding in the new colors as desired. The only thing we shouldn't do is use current re-inkers on new pads. So let's take a look at the colors.

Retiring Colors

Returning Colors

First up, Flirty Flamingo which is one of our retiring in-colors is staying on as a core color.
Also returning:
Mossy Meadow
Poppy Parade
Costal Cabana
Mint Macaron
Blackberry Bliss

Let's take a look at our revamped core color families.

And now here's a closer look at our new core colors.

New Colors

And finally, the funnest part, let's look at the new in-colors!

In Colors

It's all pretty darn cool. Color is such an amazing thing! I'll be sharing more as time passes.

Our new catalog is coming soon! Demonstrators who attend the On Stage event (like me!) get to pre-pre-order. I'll be sharing my new stuff soon. All demos get to pre-order in May. So that we have time to make samples and prep for open houses and classes.
(Remember you can join my team at anytime)
AND customers get to order new stuff in June!

Need a catalog? If you attend classes in the Crafty Corner, you'll pick one up in May when I get them. Live farther away? I'll ship you one! If you've ordered from me in the last year, I'll ship it for free. Haven't ordered, no worries, just pay the shipping ($7) and it's yours. If you are a totally new customer to me, your first catalog and shipping is on me. I want to share my store with you.

Finally! My birthday month special.

Today, the 9th is my birthday! So, for the rest of the month of April, I am offering a free gift with purchase. I know, I'm giving you gifts and it's my birthday. So cool. Place an order of $35 or more using the host code, N9W72SQ2 (through 4/22 at 8pm) and you can choose a pack of deminsionals (either size) or our linen thread. I'll send it to you in a handmade card. Ordering after the 22nd, no worries, I'll post a new host code.

I think I've covered everything. Questions, comments? Let me know.

ICS Blog Hop, It's a Girl Thing. Apron of Love

It's the first Wednesday of the month. Time for the ICS blog hop!

This month, it's all about the women in our lives. This is the theme for my Just Cards classes this month too. I created a card using the Apron of Love bundle that is available in the Occasions catalog. It's such a cool bundle! There's something for everyone with this set.

I've made a card that would be great for Mother's Day or for your Mom's birthday.

Measurements:
Sweet Sugarplum card base, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" folded in half
Whisper White card front, 4" x 5 1/4"
Crumb Cake, 2 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Petal Palette DSP, 1" x 5 1/4"

I'm looking forward to sharing this card in my classes on the 18th and 20th. Here's a peek at the other cards we'll make.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Click HERE or the arrow below to see what Ginger has to share. Have fun and then get to creating.
