Remarkable Blog Hop, Succulent Garden Suite

It's time for the Remarkably Creative Blog Hop. We have lots of ideas to inspire you. Today, we're featuring the Succulent Garden Suite, or other products from the Occasions catalog and our Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Succulents are all the craze in home decor. And they are one of my favorite plants, as I am not so good with the keeping of plants. I have several I bought when we moved two years ago and I have't quite killed them yet.

Let's take a look at some fun things I made with Stampin' Up's Succulent Garden Suite. I used the Succulent Framelit Dies to make the coolest little paper plant! I kept things simple, making one succulent and attaching it with 3 glue dots to the top of a box.

Isn't it amazing? It's made out of paper!

You can cut out all six dies on one quarter sheet of paper.

I found that I liked the colors Old Olive, Crumb Cake, and Rich Razzleberry for sponging. I wiped with my sponges from the center to the end on each petal. First with Old Olive, then with Crumb Cake. Then with Rich Razzleberry, I lightly sponged the petal tips. I used these same ink colors on both Old Olive and Mint Macron card stock. Then, using the bottom end of my piercing tool, with the plant pieces on a piercing/stamping mat, I circled it around a bit until the leaves popped up. I then glued the layers together using Tombo adhesive.

Now, we'll play a little with the Oh So Succulent stamp set and Designer Series Paper. This stamp set is for two step stamping. I'll show the cards and then I have a video for two step stamping.

Very pretty, I think. Here's a video with the basics for two step stamping:

Thanks so much for stoping by. I hope that you'll have fun using the Succulent Suite. I know I'm enjoying it and have plans for many more projects. Thanks for stopping by. Stay Crafty!
