2016-2018 New In Colors from Stampin' Up! Sweet Sugarplum

Hooray! If you're here, it means you liked Sweet Sugarplum.

If it's your first visit to my blog featuring new in colors, go back and check out all the previous posts on said subject: Previous posts start here.

I was very drawn to this color when I was creating with the new in colors for the very first time. The color is so warm and welcoming, so lovely and dare I say it, sweet.

Enjoy your peek at Sweet Sugarplum.

Measurements for this sweetie are after the pics.

Measurements for the happy hello card:
Regular card base of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Black layer 4 x 5 1/4. Vanilla layer (stamped on) 3 5/8 x 5 1/8. 4 boxes, first number is DSP, second number is black:
1 3/4 x 4 and 1 7/8 x 4 1/8,
3 x 3 and 3 1/8 x 3 1/8,
3 1/4 x 1 7/8 and 3 3/8 x 3 1/8 x 2,
3 5/8 x 6/8 and 3 1/2 x 7/8.
The cool shape for the sentiment is made using the Wonderful Wreath Framelits (no center, I thought that was pretty clever of me).

Hope I got that all right. You can make up your own building blocks of different sizes with 1/8 inch card stock mountings.

Here's that cute picture of all the colors in mini boxes one last time.

Thanks for sharing the new in colors with me, I'd love to know your favorites.
Happy Crafting!

  1. I like this color. Seems like it is from the 80s or 90s, but I like it. Love your cards, especially the Timeless Texture one.

  2. I love these cards and this paper! I am trying to make the Thank You card but I can't figure out the measurements for the 3 dsp strips and the borders. Any chance you can post those? Or point me to the measurements on your page? :-)

    1. Hi Dawn, thanks for checking out my blog. That card was from several years ago and I don't have it anymore, so I'm gonna guess a bit. The back two layers of the card base are 4x5 1/4 and then 3 7/8x 5 1/8. I'm thinking that the strips could be 1 1/4x 3 1/4 matted by 1 3/8x 3 3/8. Hope that works! I think I'll make a card the same tomorrow with newer stuff. Then I'll post it. Good luck!
